Because it's more requests for support when users forget their 2FA wall, or if the middle-man service goes down. On a shared service this is just not realistic.

One solution would be to use a centralized authentication server/portal (such as Authelia), possibly linked to the Ultra account. It would then take care of authentication toall Ultra deployed services (torrent software, *arrs, ...), allowing de facto use of 2FA. Sounds like a good idea :)
This incorperate an extra point of failure. This is not viable for a shared server and has already been rejected.

What do you mean with "extra point of failure"?
Adding an extra layer of protection would just be great (as we don't have bruto-force protection for our apps, right?).
If 2FA is not possible, is there any way to further secure our web apps, other than using password managers for really complex passwords?
Thanks!

Thank you for your suggestion.
We do not develop Starr apps, only host them. We don't have a viable capability to implement 2FA on apps like this.
