    Experience is much better than Filebrowser. Agreed with work_candle: "file sharing software" doesn’t come close to describing the experience and its capabilities. Creator and maintainer have a great “comparison / versus” table in the docs. It’s been fair and constructive about where copyparty lacks while being true to a decent comparison.

    Also, h/t 🎩 for building all of this in a single Python file. 👏

    Calling it a “file sharing" program'‘ is really belittling all that it can do, and I’m speaking as someone who went through that thought.

    And then I saw this video of the dev going over its features:

    - 1) Be entertained
    - 2) Want to use it for something now

      Totally agreed. You’re right, I didn’t give this post enough fanfare. Thank you for linking the video that initially hooked me. I haven’t seen a security review from both external and server side security, but if those check out, this is truly an amazing piece of software.
