    1. I can’t seem to get it to work.

      ar: /home/john1337elite/.local/bin: Cannot open: No such file or directory tar: Error is not recoverable: exiting now

      If the .local/bin directory doesn’t exist for whatever reason, create it first:

      mkdir -p ~/.local/bin

      Then try to install mkbrr again.

    You can install it yourself through SSH. Log in and paste this command:

    wget $(curl -s https://api.github.com/repos/autobrr/mkbrr/releases/latest | grep download | grep linux_x86_64 | cut -d\" -f4) -O - | tar -C ~/.local/bin/ -xzvf - mkbrr

    After I did this, it’s installed in ~/.local/bin which is already in PATH so it can be called directly, and I get:

    $ mkbrr version
mkbrr version: 1.15.0
Build Time:    2025-08-12T12:13:00Z

      Mine is installed in ~/bin/ instead of ~/.local/bin/. Is this wrong ?
