I think you should at least mention pipx as a pip+pyenv alternative. As you know, it's not recommended to install python packages globally, and managing virtual environments with pyenv is a hassle for a regular user. pipx provides an easy way of downloading and updating all python packages at once and just makes the whole process easier with ensurepath option.

pipx can already be installed, see instructions here and use the pip method.
Python packages are not installed globally. They are installed in your local environment under
~/.local.Managing venv will always be a hassle for the regular user, no matter the solution.

i figured it out after reading and tinkering for a few hours, but the web page https://pipx.pypa.io/stable/installation/ was too convoluted for using on Ultra .cc, so that is why i opened a ticket in the and asked for help in the client area.

yes, i +1 vote to be able to use ‘pipx’ because i would like to use the ‘tubeup’ script to make backups of my personal youtube videos, and pipx is a prerequisite. ( note standalone binary of yt-dlp is available for linux )
