I think you should at least mention pipx as a pip+pyenv alternative. As you know, it's not recommended to install python packages globally, and managing virtual environments with pyenv is a hassle for a regular user. pipx provides an easy way of downloading and updating all python packages at once and just makes the whole process easier with ensurepath option.
