Update Jellyfin to the latest version

Hey, i would appreciate it when it would be possible to update the Jellyfin server to the latest version https://github.com/jellyfin/jellyfin/releases/tag/v10.9.2

Currently the version is 10.8.13, but when i try to do "Action -> Upgrade and Repair" it stays on this version.

The reason why i´m asking is, that the newest jellyfin-media-player client NEEDS atleast version 10.9.1 to work.

    Any chance for an update yet? I’d like to stream to my Fire stick again and it no longer works with 10.8.x.

    Any updates on this, as of today the jellyfin app does not support the 10.8.x versions.

      If you want to keep using the 10.8.x (Stable) version, than you need the Jellyfin Media Player 1.9.1, but if you want to upgrade follow these instrucions:

      “The Jellyfin installer in the UCP now offers the choice of v10.8.3 (stable) and latest (beta). You may be aware that the latest versions of Jellyfin have had some issues that their developers are resolving. If you have Jellyfin v10.8.3 or lower already installed, you can only upgrade using app-jellyfin upgrade --version version-number from ssh.” (SOURCE)

      I personally upgraded to the latest version of Jellyfin and i dont have any problems.

    Hi John,

    Due to certain number of bugs in 10.9.*, we have locked our Jellyfin version to 10.8.13 as the default and stable version; however, if you want to try the latest version, you can upgrade your instance using the command " app-jellyfin upgrade -v latest" via SSH. However, we recommend taking a backup of your Jellyfin instance first, as many clients faced DB issues after the upgrade.

      Is there a guide to backing up our jellyfin instance and rolling back in case the upgrade fails? I’d like to upgrade, but a guide on the rest would be great 🙏

    Look in Discord, the new Jellyfin version is not stable, because of this ultra decided to lock the available version to the last stable, what 10.8.13 is
